DOMAIN
Registered on July 11, 2011 via NameCheap and hosted at Freehostia. Coming up with a name was a bit of a challenge considering there is about 3 other names I'd gladly register. The domain name is inspired from Takahashi Yoko's song '魂のルフラン' (Tamashii no Refrain, Soul's Refrain), theme song to Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth and one of the most popular anisons in history. I often listen to music for inspiration and when this track came on, the nostalgia started flooding in and pretty much made the decision for me.
This is my first domain so still trying to figure out how everything works.
LAYOUT
Current layout features KOS-MOS from the epic space opera trilogy, Xenosaga. The gorgeous artwork of KOS-MOS is by CHOCO (Mugitani Kouichi), the game's character designer. Space backgrounds came from Google and the font used in the header is Century Gothic.
The random little blue penguin doods littered around the site are Prinnies from the Disgaea series. Sprites were taken from Crimson-Penguin. They don't match with the layout but at least they're cute and flow with the colour scheme. I'm the only one looking at this site anyway so I'll do what I please, lol.
This is the first layout I've created in over 5 years so it's not that great. Mainly trying to focus on learning new coding since the bulk of my knowledge is from 1997-2006. XD This is my latest attempt at an entirely CSS/div driven layout and think I'm getting the hang of it.

Trolling the web since the late 90s, Skyrend enjoys a multitude of activities such as gaming, reading, and web design. When not in cyberspace, she likes to indulge in the vice of alcohol and hang out with friends. These days she spends much less effort on frivolous tasks such as gaming/sites and more time looking for jobs, strugglling to be an adult, and deciding what to do with the rest of her future.
Skyrend is the name used for my Cora summoner in the MMORPG Rising Force Online (RF Online) and it stuck with me for the next few years. I think it's actually a sword from one of the Final Fantasy games but not sure...thought it up on my own then came to find out I'm not so original after all. XD
